Week 6

# 13 Learned a lot about tagging and discovered Del.icio.us. I found out
that this site is a social bookmaking place.

# 14 Explored Technorati and also learned how to use tags work with my
blog posts.
When I searched for "Learning 2.0" in Technorari, I received totally
different results depending on whether I searched under Blog Posts,
Tags, or Blog Directory.
I was surprised at the terms that I found under "Top Searches"--most
of them I didn't even recognize!
Coming back to this topic: http://technorati.com/claim/e2zzpbb62" rel="me">Technorati Profile

MORE INFO ABOUT TECHNORATI (FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT)
Technorati
Technorati is a lot of fun. I tried searching for blogs on Dolly Parton and got a few that were not about Dolly Parton. Most of the posts were fairly recent posts on her. I also tried typing in 9 to 5 to see if I could get any posts on Dolly and I got a lot of posts on everything else but nothing on the song 9 to 5. I think when it comes down to it its all about being specific.

# 15 I read several perspectives on Web2.0, Library2.0 and the future
of the libraries and blogged my thoughts. My entries are found
under other old postings. I looked around the different sites and
stopped at myspace.com.
I have had my reservations about this place, still have a few. Had heard all sorts of scary things going on here. But finally allowed the youngest still at home to set up a space for himself. Using this or any social networking site requires intelligence and caution on the part of both parent and child. It actually provided a unique chance for discussion of online caution, at the end of which, as said before, I told him go ahead. But I am and will keep an eye on things. I signed up as well, altho due to lack of time mine is fairly empty. And once I recall my username and password, I will post a link to my, myspace spot.
